BTS: A Decade of Greatness

June is also the anniversary date for the sensational South Korean group, BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment (now known as HYBE Corporation). The group made their debut on 13th June 2013 and consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

BTS has gained global recognition and has become one of the most popular and influential boy bands in the world. They are known for their energetic performances, captivating music, and meaningful lyrics that touch on a range of topics including mental health, self-love, and social issues.

In 2018, they delivered a powerful speech at the United Nations General Assembly, launching the “Love Myself” campaign in partnership with UNICEF to promote self-love and end violence against children and adolescents. They also had a meeting with US President, Joe Biden at the White House which they commemorated on the final day of AAPI Heritage Month by each making brief remarks about anti-Asian hate crimes.

As BTS celebrates their 10th-year anniversary, it is a significant milestone that showcases their longevity and enduring impact. Their dedicated fan base called the ARMY come together to commemorate this milestone, it is an opportunity to express appreciation for the joy, inspiration, and comfort that BTS’s music has brought into their lives. It is also a time to look forward to the future, anticipating the new heights that BTS will reach and the positive impact they will continue to make in the world.
